Getting Braver Together Family Intensive
Costs

Cost of Attending Camp

The total cost of attending Getting Braver Together Family Intensive is £1,500.

The intensive intervention model includes:

  • A full day of online parent training prior to the intensive

  • Up to 3 hours of a fade-in session to establish speech with the child

  • 3 days intensive intervention and coaching for parents

  • Post camp report

This represents 7-8 hours of parent training, 3 hours individual intervention and 18 hours of group intervention. In terms of time and cost-effectiveness, the same number of intervention spread across many weeks would cost £3,640.

There are many benefits to an intensive camp, including intensive training, connecting with other families with a child with SM, opportunities for peer practice and often a lot of progress (although there are no guarantees).

A £500 deposit is due upon registration.  Two further instalments of £500 are due prior to the intensive.

Private insurance

Dr. Helfman is registered with Cigna and WPA. She does not accept other private insurers.  It would be up to the individual insurers whether they would reimburse for the costs of the intensive.

Cancellation policy for the intensive.

If cancellation occurs within 6 weeks of the start of the intensive, 75% of the overall cost will be returned. If cancellation occurs between 6 and 4 weeks of the intensive, 50% of the costs will be returned.  Cancellations with less than 4 weeks notice will not result in reimbursement.
